Who We Are
Dr. Sears is an internationally recognized expert in the psychological care and quality of life outcomes of patients coping with heart disease. He is also a well-published researcher who travels around the world giving talks to patients and members of the medical community. Over the last 20 years, Dr. Sears has published over 100 papers on the psychological aspects of heart disease.
Lindsey Rosman, M.A. is a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Health Psychology PhD program at East Carolina University. She currently is a member of the Cardiac Psychology Lab and works at the East Carolina Heart Institute under the direction of her mentor, Dr. Sears. She is passionate about women's heart health and healthcare. Her research is focused on improving the physical health and emotional recovery of women coping with cardiovascular disease.
